Foodie Friday: Baked Grapefruit

This recipe has made breakfast time so much easier for me! It takes about ten minutes to prepare, cook and tastes amazing. (Bonus: its healthy!!)

I have just started a new job and will be returning to school in September, so I was searching for new breakfast ideas that are healthy and quick to make. I came across a Baked Grapefruit, and was naturally intrigued at how odd it sounded. So I gave it a try yesterday morning and I am hooked!

This recipe is the perfect balance between sweet and sour and has a crispy top and a warm soft inside.

Alright, recipe time!

– 1 grapefruit
– 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
– 1 teaspoon of cinnamon sugar
– 2 tablespoons of honey

-turn oven on to broil
-slice grapefruit into two equal portions
-place grapefruit slices in baking pan
-sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon sugar on grapefruit
-drizzle honey on grapefruit
-place in to oven for five minutes
