Thanksgiving is tomorrow and as I travel to my parents house I am thinking about what I am thankful and grateful for. For starters, I am grateful to the bus driver who is blasting the heat, because this chick is super cozy warm now 😉 But really… I have so many things to be thankful for and I do not always acknowledge them. So I have written out a list, and if I ever need a little reminder I will come back to this post.
This blog is just as much for me as it is for my readers; a way to express my feelings and a way to explore my creative side. So, my blog is the first thing I am thankful for this Thanksgiving.
The second thing I am so grateful for is my family; especially my younger siblings. They are the reason I strive so hard to be better. I want to always be the best role model and good example for them that I can be. So thank you for pushing me to be a better version of myself.
I am thankful for my education. I am thankful that I live in a place where I have the opportunity, as a woman, to obtain a post-secondary education. I am thankful I have finally found my calling and finally am happy with the career path I have chosen. I am thankful that I get to go back to my roots (Hairstyling pun intended) and put my artsy, creative side to use.
I am thankful for the new friends I have met in the Hairstyling. I have become friends with so many amazing people in the past month. Thank you for making me laugh more and laugh harder than I have in years.
I am thankful for my dog, who always greets me in the best way. Thank you for all of the floor cuddles, sloppy kisses and for loving me so unconditionally and profoundly.
I am thankful for my love. Without him I would definitely have gone crazy by now. He is my rock, my sounding board, my best friend and my escape from the rest of the world. So thank you for everything that you are and everything that you do.
I am thankful to God for giving me something to believe in, someone to trust and for making it impossible for me to ever be alone. I am so grateful for the little signs of encouragement and for all the beautiful sunsets that you provide.
Last but not least, I am thankful for the challenges in my life. For without them I would not be where I am today. Without them I would not know how it feels to truly have it good. I am thankful that I am strong enough to make it through those challenges. So for the last quarter of the year, keep the challenges coming…I’ve got this!!
Until next time,
